Well for toning strength workouts are key. Lifting weights, especially.
Cardio is good for losing weight/burning calories but it won’t tone you like weight training will.

My biggest advice is get rid of anything that isn’t clean! If you have potato chips or carrot sticks, which are you going to go for? Of course everyone would go for the potato chips, and then regret it later.
Don’t be too hard on yourself, either. Everyone makes mistakes, everyone goes days without exercising, everyone binges. Just drink a glass of water and move on. Getting back in the groove can be hard, and it can suck, but it’s so worth it.
Stick to something that’s manageable. Depending on how fit you are now, go for daily walks/runs with weights. Or do something like 30 Day Shred or another fitness program.
But really the best advice I can give is stop buying cookies and crackers and cake and instead just shop the produce section. Eat very little (if any) meat and dairy. Eat your veggies!
Good luck c:

Don’t think of it as something to ‘stick to’! That’s my biggest piece of advice. If you don’t have tons of variety and recipes you really, truly love, you will binge and it will not be good.
As a vegan I know what it’s like to have dietary restrictions! Veganism is probably almost as difficult to adhere to as your gluten allergy. But there is hope(:
I highly recommend just getting a folder or binder and spending a few hours searching the internet for tasty-looking recipes to put into it. Make one or two recipes a week and make them big enough to last you the whole week. Make sure you have yummy (but healthy) “comfort” food and snack food, too - whether it’s a warm tortilla with hummus or homemade chips with homemade salsa - always have a go-to snack for watching TV or a movie.
So yeah. Variety is your best friend. Keep things interesting! Healthy doesn’t mean eating the same few things for all of your meals. Healthy encompasses more than just physical health, and eating boring food is NOT good for you emotionally or spiritually.
And lastly, don’t beat yourself up if you indulge. Don’t think of it as cheating. A bad meal or even a bad day isn’t going to ruin it! Hell, people even have bad weeks sometimes. Just really, truly enjoy it when you indulge, leave the guilt at the door, and don’t do it too often.
That’s the advice I have for you. Good luck! Please send me any other questions you may have. (:
